Margaret Christensen, MD, FACOG, IFMCP, ABOIM

Dr. Margaret Christensen is an international educator and clinician with over three decades of experience working in the trenches, first as a board-certified OB-GYN and then as an environmental and functional medicine practitioner.  She is co-founder of one of the leading functional medicine clinics in the country, CarpathiaCollaborative.com, and recently added the functional medicine health coach certification to her credentials. She is passionate about educating her clients and colleagues about root causes and whole-systems medicine!

Dr. Christensen’s interest in functional medicine began over two decades ago when she was faced with the challenge of solving her family's complex health issues, which were later discovered to be caused by severe toxic mold exposure. This experience made her intimately familiar with conditions like chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, autoimmunity, and the physical and mental health consequences of unrecognized biotoxin illness.

Over time, Dr. Christensen's boutique functional medicine practice has evolved into Carpathia Collaborative – a comprehensive multidisciplinary practice focused on complex chronic diseases. The practice offers a 360-degree approach to functional, lifestyle, and nutritional medicine, complemented by certified health coaching. It also provides additional resources like an on-site teaching kitchen, a yoga studio, and an educational library for community learning events.
